It seems that Americans are constantly complaining about how the politicians spend our money in Washington DC. People are worried as taxpayers that these spendthrifts in Washington are accumulating debt faster than we can afford to pay it back in taxes. Worse, Americans have been cutting back, saving more, and using their revolving credit, including credit cards less. But our politicians are continuing to spend trying to replace the money that we are all saving. That's unfortunate, because all the money we're saving we are going to owe in taxes.

Nevertheless we keep electing these folks, and they keep spending our nation's treasury into oblivion. It is amazing how many Americans in the middle class do not understand financial responsibility, and since we draw upon the middle class for most of the jobs in our government, we should not be surprised that our elected representatives are unable to contain their spending ways.

Still, we should require all politicians to take Financial IQ tests, as well as a few economics classes, otherwise they should not be allowed to serve in our government, spend our taxpayer's money, or be involved in any of the financial aspects of running our public funds. Some believe this is far too harsh, but it is a reality and if we don't do something they are liable to bankrupt the nation.

We cannot continue this way, and we cannot continue to pretend that Medicare, and Social Security are not financial and economic time bomb for our future generations. It is amazing that we put people in jail for Ponzi schemes, yet at the same time we allow Social Security to run basically under the same scenario.

If we don't fix these problems soon we are going to end up in a world of hurt, and we are liable to get repossessed by the Chinese which are buying all of our debt. Please consider all this and after you learn the language of text messaging, you may want to take up learning Chinese, you may need to learn that language soon, if things don't change. Think on it.
